The fabric is the story here. The Mariners Overshirt is made from 11 oz, 100% merino wool woven by Leichtfried in Austria, a mill producing loden since 1884, from fine Australian merino fiber. Merino is soft, regulates temperature well and stays quiet in the woods. Ball and Buck cuts it into a clean overshirt with a hidden button placket, two chest pockets and a flap stash pocket at the waist, and sews it in Boston.
