Mora Knives

Mora knives have been made in Mora, Sweden since 1891, and this is every Morakniv we carry in one place. The lineup runs from the full-tang Garberg and the compact Eldris to the Kansbol hunting knife, the Mörkret survival blade and the Frosts processing knives butchers use. Most models come in stainless (S) or carbon steel (C). Stainless shrugs off blood and rain; carbon takes a finer edge and throws sparks off a ferro rod but needs oiling.

Not sure where to start? Our Mora Garberg comparison covers the flagship, game processing knives covers skinning and boning, Mora survival knives covers the fire-starter kits and Mörkret, and fish fillet knives covers the cleaning table.

Mora Knives — Common Questions

Are Mora knives good for hunting?

Yes for most deer and hog work. The Kansbol Hunting, Eldris Hunting and the Mora Hunting skinning and boning line are built for field dressing and processing.

What's the difference between Morakniv (S) and (C)?

(S) is Swedish stainless steel, easier to keep rust-free. (C) is carbon steel, easier to sharpen and ferro-rod compatible, but it will patina and rust if stored wet.

Which Mora knives are full tang?

The Garberg and Mörkret are full tang. Most other Mora models are partial tang, which is plenty for slicing work but not for heavy batoning.
