Scouting & Tactics

The buck you kill in November is one you found in August. Hang cameras on water and mast now, learn how bed-to-feed patterns shift as the rut approaches, and have your stand or blind set long before opening morning so you are not bumping deer the week you plan to hunt. Mobility is the edge on pressured ground: the hunter who can move fifty yards when the sign moves kills more deer than the one anchored to a stand he hung in July.

One straight answer before you shop for that mobility: Venator does not stock treestands or climbing sticks. No hang-ons, no climbers, no saddle platforms, no sticks. It is a category we do not carry, and there is nothing in our lineup that substitutes for a stand — a ground blind is a different tool for a different problem, not a swap — so buy your stand and sticks from a retailer that specializes in them and inspect your straps every season.
